Japan
We took a trip to Japan in 2004. First time I’d returned since the sixties, and this time I didn’t have a ship I had to get back to.
Most of these pictures were made in Kyoto. Kyoto is primarily known for it’s shrines. I didn’t know there were so many shrines anywhere.
Another nice place to visit in Kyoto is the Bamboo forest. It’s very relaxing after braving the Japanese mass transit system and the crowds at the shrines
I’m also a Sumo fan, so it was great to see it live. When you see those guys in person, you realize just how big they are. I’m not used to being around men who are THAT much bigger than me.
